When can I come by and see The Commissary?
Anytime - have you seen our events calendar!?! However, we would love to meet you, show you around, hear about your big plans, so perhaps you might want to show up for our Open House Tours held every Thursday at 3:30pm. If you would like to schedule a private tour, email us at youshouldbe@thecommissarycolumbus.com

Recycle Pots & Pans
Ohio ranks third in the nation for families forced to skip meals or eat less because they couldn’t afford to put food on the table, according to a 2015 U.S. Department of Agriculture report. And even when a food bank steps in to provide ingredients, these families likely don’t have pots and pans to cook them in. Be a part of the solution by donating unwanted kitchen items to Recycle Pots and Pans, who will get them into the homes of families that need them. The Commissary is now a Recycle Pots and Pans dropoff location! Donations can be dropped off:

  • first Saturday of every month between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
  • by appointment.

Tell me about the classes and dinners.
Our events calendar is full of experiences that allow chefs, makers, and bakers to share their craft with an interested group of students. These experiences are for people of all skill levels, unless otherwise noted.

The price for these classes is inclusive. There are no extra fees for parking, tips, etc and tax is included in the price when applicable.

What is the cancellation policy for classes and dinners?
For pop-up dinners and classes, most of the food purchasing and much of the prep is done days in advance and is not able to be reused. We hope you'll understand this makes it impossible to offer refunds or reschedule these meals. There are a few exceptions:
*if the class or dinner is offered more than one day or night in a row, we may be able to switch your reservation to the later date, with notice.
*for sold out events, we can sometimes find a guest that would be interested in purchasing your spot. Let us know as soon as possible so that we can start the search.
*Should Franklin County fall under a Level 2 snow emergency, we will need to cancel the event and will contact you as soon as possible with the next steps.

We want to make sure that you are satisfied and continue to participate in these experiences. Send Karen an email at karen@thecommissarycolumbus.com, if you have any questions.
