Behind the Scenes

Kickstarter reward: Letterpress poster

Igloo Letterpress has been making paper beautiful for almost 20 years - the last five in Central Ohio. I have always been head over heels for their Worthington Farmers' Market posters and partial to their business cards (completely beautiful and memorable). Lately, I have seen posters with wise, food words coming off of their presses and was so pleased to confirm there is a beautiful print for backers of The Commissary's Kickstarter.

This beautiful 8.5x11 limited-edition print is hand-printed on French Paper Company coverstock. It was lovingly set by the presswomen at Igloo Letterpress using antique wood and lead type and pulled on a 1942 Vandercook #4 press. Here is a quick peek at the process:

If you want one of these posters, pledge to support The Commissary at any level, add $25 and put the total in the box at the top. If you have already pledged and know this is exactly the poster you want for your kitchen/office/gift, click the "manage your pledge" and add $25 to the total price. Lastly, if you know of more food loving words that should be made into art, let Alison and Beth at Igloo Letterpress know.
