4.2.17 Dinner: A few of Isidora Diaz's favorite things

April 2, 2017
There are two seating times: 6:00pm and 8:30pm

For three glorious years, Chilean Chef Isidora Diaz has graciously shared the flavors of her home country with us through cooking classes, pop-up dinners and writings. Sadly, Isidora’s husband Raul’s time working at Ohio State University has come to an end and the couple is planning to move out of the country later this year—but not before sharing a few of her favorites at one of our Chef’s Favorite Things dinners!

For her farewell dinner, Isidora will prepare a six-course meal filled with things she loves eating and cooking, drawing inspiration from her life in Chile, trips to South America and Italy, and her time in Ohio. The menu will include seafood, offal and some raw items. Vegetarian and pescatarian options available upon request.

This dinner is BYOB. The price includes all taxes and fees. For the first courses, chef suggests pairing a crisp Sauvignon Blanc or Riesling, or pilsner or American pale ale; for the later courses, a medium-bodied Chilean or Argentinean red, or darker porter or stout.

The Commissary's A few of Chef's favorite things dinners are among the most popular events on our calendar. Each dinner highlights a local chef that should be on your radar and the meal that brings them the most joy and inspiration.
